Ogma Single jersey fabrics are among the most available fabric types on the market. Single jersey fabrics produced only in circular knitting machines are knitted flat from cotton or cotton-weighted mixed yarns.

They are generally produced with a low weight between 100-130 grams. Since the single jersey fabric has a flat front and a reverse loop structure, the front and back are different. The single jersey fabric types named according to the yarns used can be knitted with single-ply yarns and high weight. Single jersey fabrics produced in double layers or in different variations are generally used in the production of slip, athlete, undershirt, t-shirt and underwear.

The single jersey fabrics named according to the following knitting types are among the types of fabric preferred by those who have knowledge about textile.

Single jersey fabrics can be used in sportswear and medical clothing, as they are often preferred in summer outerwear.

There are many different types such as sanded single, ringed and lycra ringed single, boucle single and silvery single.

Ogma Single Jersey Fabric Features

The properties of single jersey fabrics are determined according to the yarn and weight used in production. Moments that provide three-dimensional appearances are also preferred in fabrics that are used primarily as knitting on the front and reverse loops on the back.
Fabrics used with different blends such as cotton-polyester, melange-single jersey can be named on the market in different ways. There are moments in single bed machines that hold the loops in 3D. These moments can sometimes create unstable weaves. The most important factor that determines the properties of single jersey fabrics is this imbalance rate.

According to this rate, a ranking is made as follows:

The front and back sides have a different look,
They are produced in tubular form but cut openly,
It is wider than the rib and interlock fabric types,
They show both transverse and longitudinal stretching,
It has less elasticity than ribana, interlock and nosy fabrics,
Its dimensional stability is higher than other weft directional knitted fabrics,
In case of too much stretching, their shape may deteriorate, so it is more unsuccessful to wrap the body,
Although the yarns used are the same, wide view is higher in single jersey fabrics,
They tend to be less patterned,
It is the type of fabric with the least amount of yarn spent,
When they are cut, curls occur at the edges, this amount varies according to the yarn density used,
They are produced with RL flat knitting techniques,
They are easier to iron because they tend to crease less,
If they are not sewn with very fine-tip needles, they can be torn.

Single Jersey Fabric Types

Lycra Single Jersey Fabric

Lycra single jersey fabric has an excellent stretch feature. With the lycra single jersey, which revolutionized the textile industry, a wide variety of clothing ranging from underwear to evening dresses can be made.

Without Lycra, there would be no successful result in the variety of fabrics. For this reason, the lycra single jersey fabric, which is used most frequently, is used very much all over the world.

Jacquard Single Jersey

They are printed fabrics resulting from the production of single jersey fabric with jacquard printing technique. Transverse prints are applied and it is a great advantage that they are produced with different knitting techniques at the front and back.

What is Viscose Fabric?

Viscose fabrics, a textile raw material produced from beech wood, are produced from cellulose, such as cotton. Viscose, which has almost no chemical change in the structure of cellulose, becomes filament when it hardens.

Because viscose fabric's moisture absorption is more than cotton, its water absorbency can reach 120 percent. However, its durability when dry is less than cotton. So it has faster wear. It is a fabric suitable for printing and dyeing. Colors can be printed brighter. Basically, we can explain the properties of viscose fabric as follows:

Viscose fabrics can reveal elegant and comfortable designs,

The products obtained have a soft touch feeling,

It has skidding feature on the skin,

Patterns and other prints can be given with successful color results,

It can be used on fabrics that want to be bright,

It has sweat-pulling properties,

They look good quality,

It can be used with products such as lining, blouse, shirt, underwear.

Viscose Melanges

According to the desired melange ratio at the blending stage of the yarn production, different rates of melange can be obtained with the blends of colored viscose fiber.

Viscose Blends

Special blends can be made to obtain viscose yarns and fibers suitable for viscose, strength, pilling and touches. In other words, it is possible to obtain original results according to the customer's request.

The Provisko

Yarns obtained by mixing the fiber called Viscose and Lyocell are known as proviskon. This fabric, which is preferred for superior strength, is 100% natural and allows the body to breathe.

How to Wash Viscose Fabric?

Temperature is of great importance for viscose washing. It should be washed in absolutely hot water and by hand. Dry cleaning is recommended for best results. Absolutely centrifugal drying should not be done.

Viscose fabric thrown into the washing machine may fade and lose its first day feature and become old. Viscose, which has been described as artificial silk by many people, is a type of fabric that is frequently used in the garment industry today.

In Which Products Is Viscose Fabric Preferred?

Viscose fabrics that show body contours are generally used with different products. Viscose fabric preferred especially for ready-made clothing:

In women's underwear products,

In blouses and t-shirts,

In dress,

It can be used as a lining on clothes and skirts.

There are varieties used as tablecloths and this kind of fabric can be used in home textile products.
